Did a REALLY quick shoot with Danielle tonight. We couldn’t get started until close to 8, so we didn’t have much time. Here’s a couple shots after some quick editing.
Corrin and Blake – Prom

Got to do some prom portraits the other day for Corrin and Blake up in Pilot Mountain. They were taken with my Nikon 70-200 2.8 and Nikon 17-55 2.8. I used my SB-900 off camera behind an umbrella controlled by Nikon CLS system. I usually use my CyberSyncs to trigger my flashes, but I decided to try out CLS one more time. There was a time or 2 when the cybersyncs would’ve worked better, but I could work so much quicker using CLS since I was by myself. These shots were taken in the early afternoon, so we had to seek out plenty of shade since the sun was high.

This week I had the opportunity to shoot with Lauren Light, and singer/songwriter from right here in NC. I think you’ll be able to tell from the pictures that we had a pretty good time and that she’s pretty laid back. Check out her music on iTunes, she’s really talented! Lauren on iTunes

Most of these shots were taken with my Nikon 17-55 2.8 with 2 or 3 off camera flashes, either behind umbrellas or bare. The jumping shots were taken with my Tokina 11-16 2.8.

Here’s a few more of Paxton. My cybersyncs weren’t cooperating with me that day so I used my SB-900 in the hot shoe bounced of the wall, ceiling, or both. I used aperture priority or manual and had the SB-900 set to TTL, bumping the flash compensation up or down when needed.

Did my first newborn shoot last night for Brian and April. I had alot of fun doing it, but it was more difficult that I thought it would be. These are just the first 2 images that I’ve edited. I’ll post more as I get time.

I was up in Boston for work for a few days last week and took a few shots whenever it wasn’t raining (which was just about the entire time). The first shot is from the street where I stayed, then a few shots from inside my B&B. The skyline shots were taken from the roof.
